Linda Grashoff's Photography Adventures

Amy’s Wedding

December 8, 2015

Since I’m more or less twiddling my thumbs here waiting to hear back again from Seagate—who is trying to help me trouble shoot the problem that has El Capitan eject my external hard drive that holds all my photos—I might as well go into some archives that I have on the internal hard drive. This photo is very unusual for me. Not only do I rarely photograph people, but I also rarely move fast enough to catch a little story like this.

  1. If you have more shots like this, tell Seagate to take their time.

    • Sorry, Ken. I have no more shots like this one. And I need Seagate to hurry up. I don’t have that many processed—or even unprocessed—photos on the internal HD. I’ve gotten so reliant on Lightroom (which I keep on an external) that I dread working on photos in Bridge and Photoshop proper.

  2. This is stunning. It could get you work as a wedding photographer! Something I bet you’d dread! 🙂

Sorry to hear you continue to struggle with the computer & hard drive issues. I’m slowly adding back photos to LR from my hard drive when I have time, which isn’t often. I too depend on LR, and never use Photoshop. But I do use On1 as well – it’s quick and fun to play with, and has a few things LR doesn’t (and vice versa of course). Have a good Sunday!

    • You’re right, Lynn. Weddings are not me. Glad you like this photo, though. Thanks for the nice adjective. The hard drive that has been giving me trouble has not crashed (yet) today, but the computer didn’t see it at startup, only when I restarted. The problem with Mac Mail has been isolated to one of three of my mail accounts, and I’d be happier about that if the one that is the problem weren’t the one I use most of all. Thank goodness I have an iPhone, which can read mail from that account. Glad to hear you are rebuilding your LR catalog, but what a pain. I’ll have to look into On1.
