Sumac with Goldenrod

December 10, 2015

I’m still in computer hell with my external hard drive, but found this photograph on my internal hard drive. I don’t think I’ve ever posted it. Took it October 29, 2009, not far from where the Vermilion River winds through the Augusta-Anne Olsen State Nature Preserve.

    • Thank you, Kathy. There was a huge field of these spent goldenrod plants with sumac sprinkled throughout.

    • This does look like snow, doesn’t it. Actually, it’s just the dried seed heads of the goldenrod.
