I Am the Grass (South Lido Park, January 2016)

March 3, 2016

I wondered why “I Am the Grass” leapt to mind when I scrabbled about for this post’s title. Googling, I found the Carl Sandburg poem. Ohh, that’s why: high-school English class.

    • Thanks, Barry. I always see something at this park, which is about a 15-minute drive from our house. I’ve traveled farther to see less.

  2. It’s the places we’re able to visit again and again, which are naturally the ones closer to home, that reveal themselves the most to us.

    • I have to agree, Lynn—thinking not only of going to South Lido Park but also to the Vermilion River in Ohio. Also, the more a place become familiar, the easier it is to notice small changes that can invite a photograph.
