  1. Blue has to be my favourite colour – there are so many hues of blue. I suspect it has something to do with the associations with blue sky and all that that means. This is another superb unintentional abstract, Linda

    • Thank you, Andy. I used to fight with myself about liking blue so much. (It’s everyone’s favorite color; it’s unsophisticated; it’s so common, so easy.) But I have decided to give in. As you know, we are moving, and I’m going to let the blues out in our new place. So there. Perhaps like you, I wonder if our attraction to this color has something to do with our biology, maybe even our evolution.

      • Yes, I remember you said you were moving. The very best of luck with that. We found it incredibly hard work, my back hasn’t been the same since and my wife suffered worse sustaining a fractured pelvis – not through a fall but believed to be what one might term a ‘stress’ fracture as a result of too much effort and loading. She’s slowly recovering, now on just one crutch, but it has certainly limited our activities.

        • Oh, dear. I’m sorry to hear that you and you wife sustained physical injuries in your move. The emotional stress is quite enough. I’m glad to see that your difficulties haven’t prevented your blogging and hope you are both back to normal soon.

          • Thank you so much for your good wishes, Linda. Photography and Blogging keep me sane!

            • You’re welcome, Andy. And I know what you mean about photography and blogging keeping you sane. I often say that it’s when I’m frazzled and think I don’t have time to go out with the camera that I need most to do that. So I go, and it works.

  2. Wow, again what I said about the blues in the next photo – and reading the comments above, I can see this one as being very therapeutic to look at, too. I’m another blue lover. An early memory is of a particularly vivid royal blue painted on a wall in the city near where I lived as a child. We hardly ever went into the city so it really stayed with me.
