But apparently stationary ones do. See the third photo for context. Click on the image to see a higher-quality file.

  1. I love moss-covered rocks, Linda. You’ve given them loving attention here.

    • They’re in an out-of-the-way place for most visitors of Schoepfle Garden, so I can hope that feet won’t trample this moss out of existence as the warmer weather sets in.

    • There probably is, Ken. I think this is the first time I have photographed these stairs, at least from the top and showing the moss. I’ll be back.

  3. The mossy coating on the stones is beautiful. I wonder how long it has been since anyone walked on those steps.

    • Isn’t it? Probably these steps get very little use. I’m looking forward to my next visit to see how they are doing.

  4. Ken’s remark made me laugh. It will be fun to see more. I love the first two images here!

    • Thanks, Lynn. Yes, Ken’s remarks often make me laugh. I hope these stairs look different the next time I see them—as long as “different” doesn’t mean cleaned off.
