    • This whole park is enchanting to me. In all the 15 or more years I’ve been going there, though, I’ve never thought to take this photograph. Usually I walk up the path and don’t think of standing aside to look at it. But this time I walked straight up the hill rather than take the gently ascending route of the path. And there it was. Thanks for writing, Alan.

It’s so interesting that you didn’t see this picture for 15+ years Linda. I’m not sure there’s any answer but it might be something worth exploring and getting lost in: What clicked for you (pun intended), or what circumstances finally coalesced, to bring you to that moment?

        • I think it’s just that I had never stood at that spot. I’m always on the path. Also, since I am headed toward my car, I may shut down my observations by the time I get to that spot. I’ve liked going the same way around the park each time I go because I’ve liked seeing what has changed from the last time I was there. Lately I’ve looked at some parts that I usually ignore, and that’s been good for seeing new things. Maybe I’ll do more of that.

  2. That is one sinuous curve! You really know how to compose a picture!! 🙂

    • Thank you, Lynn. I’m kind of surprised it took me more than a decade to see this path as a photograph.
